Mr Berry, managing director, agreed they would cast experimentally a stator casing in EXP.99 using methods which they have found satisfactory on Rolls-Royce and Bristol stator casings in this material. Sapphire stator casing in steel or high strength iron: They appreciate the importance of this new development and are putting down special plant, including furnaces and moulding equipment, to cope with the various iron and steel alloys
