Description

Six typewritten pages of Joan Lafferty's recollections of service with the St John's Ambulance Brigade during the Second World War. She describes working in First Aid Posts in East Ham, London, and Plymouth, Devon, during the German bombing attacks on those two cities. She also provides recalls details of everyday life as a wife and mother duirng the war, and the hardships resulting from the destruction of her house during an air raid.
