This series of documents relate to properties in which the Oglanders never had any interest. Most of them relate to the Trenchard family, (see Section 'D'), owners of the manor of West Shamblord, but much of Northwood was part of the Crown's manor of Bowcombe and another part which was purchased by the Stephens family from John Harvey, part of the manor of Alvington. Yet another part relates to the Loving family, who eventually bought out the Trenchards.
Another manor in Northwood, that of Debourne, belonged to Christchurch Priory until the Dissolution, and then to the Hobson and Edgecombe families
