The correspondence covers the activity of the Mothers' Union in the dioceses in question, concerning in particular: personnel and resources for Workers; membership; MU literature; links between home and overseas branches and gifts sent between them; the creation of branches (particularly in the earlier files); economic conditions; existing religious beliefs, culture and customs; attitudes to marriage and family life.
