Longitudinal section of foundations for coining presses - partially coloured reverse drawing; plan and sections of engine and boiler houses - partially coloured drawing; plan and sections of the rolling mill - partially coloured original and reverse drawings; section of foundations of gear for working reciprocating shears - partially coloured drawing; plan of the tunnels for the rolling mill and section of foundations of gear for working reciprocating shears - partially coloured reverse drawings (2 on the same sheet); sketch of engine shaft - partially coloured reverse drawing.
Also the following later items: mould for strip casting - partially coloured tracing, Aug. 1874; annealing furnace for strips - partially coloured reverse drawing marked "Not adopted", Oct. 1874; waggon for strip annealing - partially coloured drawing, Oct. 1874; sketch of fittings for 4 new annealing furnaces - not dated; coining press - untitled partially coloured tracing, Jul. 1875; dies etc. - not dated (also used for the Lima Mint).
For James Watt & Co., Soho Mint, Soho Foundry. James Watt & Co. established this new mint at Soho Foundry in 1860, and extended it on various occasions. The machinery included the press bought from Soho Mint at the Manufactory in 1850 [see a above].
