Will.
Testator : Arthur Weaver.
To sons, Edward, Arthur and Thomas and their heirs : annual rent charge of £10 from rectory of Tregynon, co. Mtg., house and 1 ac. land near Bettus church co. Mtg., garden and granary built by testator in Bridgnorth, co.Salop., be used in setting out poor children or setting poor people on work in Tregynon or Bettus; house and land in Bettus to be employed for poor of that parish and account rendered to Vicar of Bettus.
£112 10s. to be used to buy corn when it is under 2s. 6d. a strike in Bridgnorth, and surplus to what the granary can hold to be sent to poor tradesmen upon good security at 6d. a pound yearly interest. When corn is at 4s. a strike or more in the market, his sons to cause it to be sold weekly in such proportions as they, and his son, John think fit, and dispose of as much of price as exceeds 2s. 6d. to the poor of the 2 parishes of Bridgnorth; the rest to be kept to renew the stock. When it amounts to 50s. or upwards, it is to be lent to poor tradesmen at 6d. per £ p.a. on good security, till corn comes to 2s. 6d. a strike.
£900, provided that if his son, John, within 2 yrs. of A.W.'s death convey forever to curate of Morville an annual rent of £14 4s. out of tithe of the parish, and amount needed to make salary of curate of Quatford to £10 p.a. out of its tithes, and confirm gifts of house and lands at Bettus and granary and garden at Bridgnorth, then he shall have the £900; otherwise the product of it shall go to advance salaries of curates and to benefit of poor in proportion to legacies hereby intended.
When anyone of sons, Edward, Arthur and Thomas, shall die, the survivors to choose another trustee.
Account to be made to Bailiffs of Bridgnorth within a week of Easter of corn bought and sold, and to be kept with their archives, and eldest trustee to keep a copy.
To wife, £200 and £100 worth of personal estate.
To son Edward, a gold ring yearly, of value of £1 or upward.
To son Anthony, 2 tenements called Pennarth Ucha and Pennarth Issa and cottage and land there of £10 annual value, in co. Mtg.
To son Arthur, lands bought from Sir John Churchman in co.Salop., and Mayn Lloyd, co. Mtg., and benefit of £300 paid into Exchequer.
To son Thomas, messuage bought from Mr. Worsewick and tenement in possession of David Powell, and land called Dowleycawne.
To dau., Mary, £3000 provided this be taken in satisfaction of legacy left her by testator's father.
To son, Edward, £80 rent charge out of lands in Bettus and Tregynon during life of testator's dau., Frances, for her maintenance.
Piece of plate worth £30 or more to head of Powis family.
Executor : John Weaver, his son, or Edward if John fail to prove or execute will.
