The Cathedral News started in the aftermath of the Second World War in 1946 as the 'Now' magazine. This lasted until 1949. There was then a gap of 10 years until Manchester Cathedral News was launched in 1959, and continued in varying formats until 1972. An 'in-house' typescript series of news sheets then survives from 1980 onwards, until the relaunch of a monthly 'Cathedral News' style booklet in 2005, and a quarterly publication for lengthier articles called 'Now' in addition.
