Description

In consideration of £1160, from Sir John Miller, late of Chichester, but now of East Lavant, bart. (eldest son and heir of Sir Thomas Miller, late of Chichester, bart., dec'd., who was eldest son and heir of Sir John Miller, late of Chichester, bart., dec'd., who was eldest son and heir of Sir Thomas Miller, late of Chichester, bart., dec'd., before called Thomas Miller, esq.) and Thomas Miller of Soberton, co. Hants., esq., his eldest son and heir apparent, to Archibald Grant of Pittencrief, co. Fife, esq.

Capital messuage wherein Sir John Miller, party hereto, lately dwelt, now partly in occ. of Elizabeth Combe, gentlewoman, with stables, gatehouses, backbuildings, edifices, courts, yards, gardens, orchards and other hereditaments, belonging; malthouse and storehouse or 'Grainary' over the same adjoining S. part of premises before described and now in tenure, use or occ. of Thomas Geere and [blank] Parvin or their assigns; all which properties abut W. on South Street, E. on South Pallant or Plough Lane, S. on lane from South Street to South Pallant, N. on leasehold coach houses, of said capital messuage, agreed to be assigned by said Sir John Miller to said Archibald Grant.

Also, Covenant to produce settlement, 5, 6 March 1732/3, on the marriage of Sir John Miller, party hereto, and Susan, his now wife. Witnesses: John Voller, Randolph Tutte, William Read, James Davis.
