Description

The tapes collected here comprise the sound cues for the performances in the years featured, as well as a recording of the 1970 performance. There is also a tape labelled 'Vietnam and Pop' which has some Festival of Fools material on it, although it is dated 1976, and an undated tape labelled 'FOF' which contains songs sung by Ewan MacColl for Festival of Fools

Administrative / biographical background

Political cabaret performed in 1967, 1968, 1970 and 1971. Charles Parker provided sound and tape inserts, members of the Critics Group with Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger created the cabaret.
