Specimen oath of "the Reeve or Bayliffe of a Manor" (in English).

List of the trees growing upon Town Head Tenement, [Sebergham], this 25 April 1694 (species, location, total growing there); the species are mostly oak, also ash and elm; namely, 1279 oaks, 372 ash, 289 elms.

Memorandum that "Mr Pellin of Whitehaven surveyed the Demain-Lands of the Mannor of Askham and plotted the Same on parchment att the rate of 1d½ (i.e. 1½d.) pro (for) each Statute-Acre and his Dyet (i.e. subsistence)", n.d. (c. 1700 hand).

"The wood groundes" were "att the foot of all" '8a. 2r. 34p.); total of the whole, 53a. 1r. 0p.

"A Collection of Orders and Bylawes (i.e. Pains) made att the Courts Baron for the Manor of Aglionby for the good Governance of the said Manor, The same being transcribed out of the ancient Court Rolls of the said Manor by William Wilkinson, Steward there, and renewed and Sett forth the (blank) Day of (blank) .. 1683, By the Direction and consent of John Aglionby Esq., Lord of the said Manor, and of all the Tenants of the same, testified by subscribing their names thereunto"; the excerpts begin at 10 Henry VII (i.e. 1494-5), and are in Latin as far as 23 Henry 8 (1531-1532), thereafter in English in whole or in part; excerpts end at 1639; then come the Orders and Byelaws transcribed in 1641 by the then Steward,
