1. Construction of a junction railway to connect the Ely and Peterborough main line with the Ely and Norwich main line near Ely Station.

2. Widening and improvement of the Newmarket and Bury Railway, commencing in the parish of Exning (co. Suffolk), and terminating in the parish of St. James, Bury St. Edmunds (co. Suffolk).
