Description

Blue and mottled-cream post-bound album, 266x410mm, containing mounted prints. The title, photographer's name and a flower motif are printed on the front cover. Inside the front cover is a pocket containing a folder of descriptive notes by K.R. Srinivasa Iyer and an index to the photographs. A handwritten dedication on the same page reads: 'Mary, from Loftus. Pudukkottai, New Year's day, 1939'. The photographs, which depict wall paintings and carvings in the cave temple near Puddukkottai city, were taken and published by L. Ganesa Sarma.
