'No.2.'. '1. Is an enormous screen of satin called Sumyés kos koo' [gos-sku]' (koi or kos (satin) koo (picture). In breadth this screen is 15 doompa (or arms span) and wider, and in length 23 doompas.'. '2. Is Koontoo Zangpo yupyum' [Kun-tu-bzan-po-yab-yum]' (Konchok' [dkon-mchog]') or God.'. '3. Gyelpo Thésongdéutsun' [Khri-sron-dehu-btsan, king who built bSam-yas]. '4. Gyélsé Mutig.bchenpo' [Mu-tig-btsan-po]' his son'. '5. These 8 figures are called Tashitahgyut' [bkra-sis-rtags- brgyad]?' in' another hand' these appear to be 8 ashtamangala or 8 symbols of the Bodhisatwas figd. in no. XVIII Journal R.] A. So'c. '1834.'. '6. Gylpo Pégur' [dPe-dkar],' represents the figure of the Deota which is said to have been brought from Bactria, in one hand he holds a handkerchief to dry the perspiration from his face.'. '7. is a Lama presenting him with milk to drink.'. '8. Nutchintséwomurr' [gDon-sbyin-rtsihu-dmar'] is supposed to be this Deota's vizir, who drinks blood and fermented liquor: his strength is supposed to be so great that as soon as a sword is presented to him he doubles it up and breaks it.'. '9-10. people presenting blood and liquor'. '11. Gyelpo Hashung' [Ha-san],' who lived in the time of Skahya: in one hand, he has his rosary & in the other some edible substance; he had 6 sons: one son Hatook' [Ha-khrug]. '12. Tsong Tsong' [rtson-rtson]' there are 15 of these (deotas) servants of the Gyelpo'. '13. King' [gin i.e. dru mmers?]' there are 16 of these representing Deotas servants of the Gyelpo'. '14. Dudmo' [bdud-mo]. '25 of these (or anthropophagi) having in his hand a dead child'. '15. Chipa' [byis-pa]. '15 of them'. '16. Tootud Takpo' [dur-khrod-bdag-po, lit. lord of cemetery]' or skeletons. 4 of these Deotas'. '17. Tod kok kyashil' [thod-khog-skya-hril]' 15 of them'. '18. Gélong Kersil' [dge-slon?]' 10 of these'. '19. Kyépa Teekur' [skyes-pa dgri-gar]' 15 of these'. '20. Ulluk Pelkur' ['U-lag dpal-dkar]' representing a Devi'. '21. Bhut or Rakhus with a bag full of human eyes and human breath, there are 4 of these called Ugkyul kirkun' [?] [hdre (i.e. demon) 'Ub-skyal-khyer]. '22. Timpa' [khrim-pa]' one who keeps order. There are 8 of these.'.
