Richard Paynter, master, and John Veale, mariner, both of the sloop Elizabeth and Sarah, testified that they shipped, at Bristol on 28 September and 11 October, 840 bushels of white salt, duty paid at Bristol, to be carried to Hayle for John Curnow of Hayle, merchant, of which, 457 bushels were lost when the vessel was stranded near Hayle in stormy weather.
