Close of meadow or pasture land of 5 acres at Kingston Hill abutting east on Almshouses land, south-west on lands of John Hind, north on Kingston Hill and south part on other close conveyed, part on lands of Anthony Harden (Little Crooked Close) and of John Hind. Which closes were in occ of Anthony Harden and had been conveyed to Nicholas Hardinge by Mary Kent, widow, devisee of Catherine Rogers, widow in 1748. [Pencilled note: "near George Inn"]

Kingston Inclosure Act giving Philip Blake an allotment of 2 roods, 36 perches being part of the land of 6a 2r 0p, but no award having been made, the eight other intended allottees of the 6 acres conveyed their rights to Blake in 1811 (see (b))
Recites other part of (a) to the auction in 1820 where Charles Nicholas Pallmer purchased Lots 1 and 2 for £1380.
Court Order, 1824, that Pallmer pay the £1380 with £89 14s interest to the Accountant General.
Now releases (a) close of meadow and shrubbery marked A on plan being about 5 acres (4a 2r 30p), south-east on lands of Almshouses; north-west on lands in Howditch Shot and Gallowell Slade heretofore Bouveries late of John Hind, then Henry Knight, then Charles Nicholas Pallmer; north-east on Kingston Hill lately enclosed, in the possession of Philip Blake then Charles Pallmer; south-west part on lands of George Hardinge, then Anthony Harden and part on the said Shot and Slade formerly Bouveries then late of John Hind, Henry Knight, then Charles N Pallmer. Which close was occupied by John Gatehouse, Anthony Harden, Philip Blake and then C N Pallmer
(b) Also close, then divided into two inclosures marked B on plan containing 6a 2r 0p late in occupation of Philip Blake then Charles N Pallmer abutting north-west and north-east on land now enclosed, of Henry Knight now C N Palmer; south-east on turnpike road leading from Kingston to London; south-west on close (a) and land of Almshouses. Close being common land, allotted to Philip Blake and others, conveyed to use of Philip Blake

This section recites documents concerning Charles Nicholas Pallmer's debts and his bond to Maurice Thomas of Carey Street Middx, for £44,460 (1831). His estate, including all lands in Kingston, is mortgaged to Thomas who has right of sale in default.
Thomas conveys land (though not apparently the relevant parts) to John Parker and John Parkinson upon trust 1836

(b) Three closes of pasture 1la 1r 17p in Northfield in the shot above Howditch between London Lane (south) and Great Crooked Close (north)
The three pieces of land (with a meadow called Pest House Meadow and another close of John Penner, butcher, then Josiah Stevens) were released, 1774, to Josiah Stevens. By his will the three fields adjoining to the London Road (late King's) with the Old Brewhouse passed to his daughter Sarah wife of Thomas Rogerson.
In Oct 1806 Thomas and Sarah, John Wornham Penfold, Ann Stevens, Henry Knight and Charles Jemmett conveyed the land to Henry Knight, expressed as inclosures of 2a 0r 9p, 3a 2r 2p, 5a 3r 6p making 11a 1r 17p

(a) The three pieces as described ("more anciently four closes of arable and pasture") 11a 1r 17p called the Brickhill Closes
(b) The six, formerly 8, closes of 20a 2r 21p as above, the hedge and ditch dividing the 2 most north easterly (3a 0r 38p and 2a 0r 19p) from each other now grubbed up by Hy Knight, and similarly the ancient hedge dividing these two from the waste called Gallows Hill, a new hedge being planted for a willow plantation. The last abuttal now reads the freeboard (or Broadway or Boardway) of Richmond Park

(a) Three closes 11a 1r 17p as above (b) Six (formerly 8) pieces of land except 2a 0r 29p (less the Freeboard next the Park) which was not in Lot 15 but added to Lot 11, purchased by Edmund French.
All which were released to William Haydon in 1817 and consisted of two closes of 29a 2r 0p, were called Knight's Meadows, and were occ by William Towns

1853: Declaration by Thomas Fricker, cooper of Kingston aged 67, confirming the ownership of the land, 1, 1a and 2 (Blake's Meadow) and the other allotments bought by Blake. All sold about 1826 to CN Pallmer and in 1840 to Samuel Haydon; William Towns had been tenant of Blake and Pallmer since 1815 to 1840, then Benjamin Looker. Towns was also tenant of 3, 4, 5 & 6 from 1822. Sold by CNP trustees to Haydon, 1840 and since then Benjamin Looker. 7 & 8 were purchased in 1839 by Wm Haydon from the Zoologial Society and occ by Benjamin Looker.
1853: Declaration of Benjamin Looker, brickburner age 55 concerning the Freeboard next to the Park, being 16½' by 963' along the Wall.
