The six guns in position here resisted the enemy counter attack to their utmost and caused heavy losses to the advancing waves. The guns on the West remained in action until they were surrounded by the enemy and their teams had become casualties or made prisoner. 2/Lt Wheatley was captured at this point with his two guns.";
