Administrative / biographical background

The union workhouse was the old House of Industry at Horsham St. Faith, built in 1805 for an incorporation of thirteen parishes formed in that year.

St. Faith's Union Board of Guardians was replaced by Guardians Committee No. 2 in 1930.
