- File S I May 1897 203-283 Unsatisfactory condition of the finances of the Hyderabad State. Two loans of £65,000 each raised in England by the Nizam to meet the guaranteed interest and dividends for the Nizam's Guaranteed State Railways Company. Proposed further loan of £250,000 to meet State expenditure, disallowed. Question of raising a rupee loan in India. Publicity given to the provisions of the Statute which prohibit the raising of loans for Native States without the consent of the Secretary of State or Governor-General in Council. Report on the work done by Mr Crawley, Comptroller-General of the State, since his appointment in 1893.
