These items were found in the loft of 19 Fitzroy Road and appear to have belonged to Edward Vaughan Middleton, watchmaker, jeweller and optician, who was working in Gloucester between c.1914 and 1935 (see D4674/3 below and entries in local trade directories; the business was continued under the name 'Middleton & Son' until the 1950s).
