The Derby Group of Hospitals Local Joint Co-ordinating Committee was set up following the National Health Service Act 1946 to look into the development of hospital services in Derby. Representatives of hospitals and local government authorities, including Derby Borough, made up the Committee, which stayed in existence until the National Health Service came into being.
