Description

From: James Burbach', BCL and BCnL, official of the archdeacon of Canterbury Inspeximuns of a description of the boundaries of the parishes of Farningham ('Frennyngham') and Eynsford found in a priory register [known as] the red book. Field names, names of lanes and names of land owners given. The park of the lords of Eynsford and the river bank ('ripa') between Otford and Dartford are also mentioned. Some details of tithes dues to the rectors of Farningham and Eynsford from individual areas of land given. Sealed with the seal of James's office at the priory's request. Given at Canterbury. Endorsed 'Ferningham' in 16th cent hand.
