He has paid Mr. Chettoe (?) £450 for the lands in Horton formerly agreed for Deeds of lease and release for the freehold have been executed, and the copyhold has been surrendered to the use of Rowland Hill. Next year when Mr. Chettoes' tenants lease expires, Dicken will lay these lands to Rowland Hill's tenement to make a farm for Hugh Thomas "I will endeavour to provide somewhere else for Richard Brown because I doubt he is not in a capacity to manage all ye lands now in Horton." When all the deeds have been acquired and executed, Dicken will deliver them to Mr. Price to lay up at Hawkstone. He gives account of the progress of the paving at Hawkstone and suggests that the wall shld. be made so that the paver can set out the circle round the grass plot (the wall is to be built between upper and lower Court.)
George Harris, a relation of Hill's tenant Geo. Harris, had his in Marchamley burnt to the ground, he is rebuilding it, and wants 3,000 bricks for a chimney, from Hawkestone.
Post script. Mr. Kynaston's letters for his lady come down; D. sent them to the Raven, trusting they would go safe from there.
