Papers of Robert Beloe (1905-83), referring principally to his position as lay secretary to successive Archbishops of Canterbury, 1959-69, and to the latter part of his career. Also included are papers of Sir John Bramston (1577-1654), Chief-Justice of the King's Bench, and his descendants, of the family of Hales of Bekesbourne, Kent, of Sir Nicholas Trant, of Archdeacon W.B. Adie and his family, of Canon D. Melville, and of Sir William Chauncy Cartwright (1853-1933), diplomat.
