Green cloth-bound photograph album measuring 243x355mm containing prints inserted four to a page in window inserts, with handwritten captions in ink beneath each print. A note on the inside cover records the subjects of the album as 'Our last winter in India - Gonda 1928-29; Christmas shoot at Sohelwa, Bahraich, 1928 (also in my judgeship); farewell visit to Fyzabad, 1929.' Note on inside back cover reads: 'Left India for good: Gonda - April 3rd 1929; Bombay - April 6th 1929.'. The album contains amateur snapshots of reasonable quality, and includes the following subject matter: Views at Gonda (judge's house, servants, informal portrait snapshots); bear shoot in the Sohelwa forest with the Raja of Payagput, Christmas 1928; groups of uniformed household servants, Gonda, 1929; portraits of various junior court officials and police officers, Gonda; architectural views at Ajudhya and Fyzabad; shoot at Bankatwa District, Gonda, 24-31 March 1929.
