Folio 14. Draft letter from the Local Government Board to Edward Barwell, a merchant of East Dereham, Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of the petition signed by himself and other inhabitants and ratepayers of East Dereham in relation to the proposed taking of lands by the rural sanitary authority for the purposes of sewage work and works of water supply for the parish of East Dereham. It states that the Board, will prior to issuing a provisional order for the sanitary authority to take lands other than in agreement, hold a local inquiry at which all persons interested may submit their objections to the propose taking of lands.
