Title
Ipswich and East Suffolk Schools of Nursing and Predecessors
Date
1927-1969
Description

Records relating to the training and examination of nurses at the East Suffolk and Ipswich Hospital and the Ipswich Borough General Hospital.

(It is not clear in every case to which of the two hospitals the records relate. At one period the examination of nurses from both hospitals appears to have been supervised from the East Suffolk and Ipswich Hospital. All the records were latterly housed at the Anglesey Road Wing of the Ipswich Hospital. In addition to remarks on the nurses' conduct, there are in many instances references to their medical condition, and for this reason there is no public access to the records for 100 years from the date of closure of each volume.)
