Description

As follows:

Warrant to the court of Exchequer concerning the payment of First Fruits, 22 June 1603, with the answers to questions by unnamed clergy apparently bearing on the same subject submitted to the Exchequer in 1561 (Latin copy). Also other papers concerning the payment of First Fruits, including 'The fees of the Remembrancer and sworne Clerkes of the office of First Fruites' (ff.1-13).

Warrant to the court of Exchequer for compounding fines and penalties, 21 March 1662 (copy) (ff.14-16v).

Statement of the case in John Wheatly v Emma Thomas concerning right of entry to the manor of Cooling, part of the estate of Henry Brooke, Lord Cobham, who died in 1620, with a few notes by Hale (ff.18-19v).

'Touching the Libertyes in the Exchequer which have Greenewax by their Claymes' (f.20).

'Concerninge Greenewax debts paid in Courte although the parties lived within liberties', 17 Jas.I - 1656 (f.22r-v).
