These records were arbitrarily divided for sale into two lots : Lot 45 ostensibly concerning 'The Lordship of Betton' and Lot 44 'The Lordship of Drayton in Hales'. The division is false and the descriptions misleading. The deeds and documents mainly concern the manor of Betton and the manor of Tyrley (co. Stafford) and property in various parts of the parish of Drayton in Hales.
