Recital of mortgage of 9th May 1740 (465/313)
Whereas T.S. has since borrowed from M.L. several sums which are still due, and has now borrowed £200 from her on the security of the mortgaged premises and on a bond of equal date herewith. Now in consideration of the £200 and for the better securing the repayment thereof with interest at 4%, T.S. covenants that the premises shall remain charged with the debt until the £200 as well as the £1,100 and interest has been paid.
