The Royal Denbigh Lodge No. 505 was granted its warrant on 5 August 1787 and was constituted the following day. The lodge met at three different taverns throughout its working life and these were; The Feathers, Chester, Cheshire in 1787, Red Lion, Denbigh, Denbighshire also in 1787 and Crown Inn, Hall Square, Denbigh, Denbighshire in 1788. From 1792 the lodge was numbered as 414 and was eventually erased on 6 February 1811.
