Description

Two mounted prints of Istanbul, verso two prints (group photographs) of casts of young dramatic players.

1. Istanbul, Mosquee Valide. The photograph appears to be by Chusseau-Flaviens, Ch. (later photographer/printer) French (active 1890s-1910s). Verso, a group photograph of girls and young women in costume, assembled under trees, initial and surnames written on the mount at the bottom - left-hand portion of the print broken-off.

2. Istanbul, Hippodrome and Mosque. Photographer not indicated. Verso, a group photograph of girls and young women in costume (not indentical to the group in the photograph listed above), assembled under trees, initial and surnames written on the mount at the bottom (some names lost in damage to bottom edge).
