Analytical returns relating to sums spent on the relief and maintenance of the poor 1800-1817. All the documents listed below include the following headings: amount of poor rate, legal expenses incurred [? including expense incurred in removal of paupers]; charges arising from rate for work on county gaols and bridges; payments to militia men's families, bounties paid to substitutes; relief paid to persons travelling with passes, expense of conveying them; fines paid for road indictments; highway rate, church and constables' rate; expenses and salaries of overseers; other expenses; nett amount paid for support and relief of the poor.
