Parties 1) Abraham Quatermaine of Chipping Norton, yeoman. 2) Sarah Jarrett of Chipping Norton, spinster. Property: Messuage on north side of New St., Chipping Norton, formerly held by Samuel Hodge, then by 1. and now by Samuel Evans, and 2 cottages adjoining, formerly held by Samuel Hodge and James Roberts and now by Robert Hall and widow Hodge and Beal. Recites marriage settlement dated 21/Jul/1801 and that the marriage took effect shortly after the execution of the settlement and there have been several children of the marriage. Recites that 2. has attained her majority, and the freehold property of Richard Charles at Winchester has been sold and the share of Elizabeth Quatermaine has been invested in the purchase of £100 of £5% Navy annuities in the joint names of William Brown of Chipping Norton, gent and Humphrey Fowler of Chipping Norton, farmer, two of the trustees of the will of Matthew Dews deced. and of 1. and his wife, subject to the trusts of the recited settlement. Consideration: £290 paid to 1. by 2. Notes: 1. confirms to 2. (subject to the life estate of Elizabeth Quatermaine, if she should survive her husband) all his premises comprised in the marriage settlement and he assigns to her all the interest from the stock, and all the other personal estate of 1.
