Description

Blue half-leather bound album (binding weak) measuring 310x410mm, with title as above stamped in gold on red leather panel on front cover. Prints are mounted one to a page with letterpress captions beneath. A letterpress label pasted onto the front free endpaper reads: River-side views of Benares from Ramnagar to Raj Ghat. A continuous set of 37 Photos. Taken under special order of H.H. Maharaja, Benares, G.C.S.I. by His Highnesse's [sic] Photographer, Babu Jageswar Prasad. January 1883.
