Frank Burgess Perry was born on 30 April 1895. Serving as a Private in the 28th Battalion London Regiment, he served in France/Flanders, 27 March 1915-1 June 1917. He was discharged to a commission in the Machine Gun Corps on 18 December 1917. Serving as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 58th battalion Machine Gun Corps, he was killed in action on 24 April 1918, aged 23 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial. He was the son of Burgess and Ellen Perry of 32 Fordwych Road, Brondesbury. Sold with copied m.i.c., service papers and war diary extracts. With damaged card boxes of issue.
