a. 1753. Bill of legal costs owing by the City of Chester, 1749-51.
b. n.d. Fragments of bills of legal costs. Mayor and Citizens of Chester debtors to Mr. J. Kelsall. Bingley and others v. Perkins, in the King's Bench, 1750; and Aldermen Smith and Bolland, Treasurers, v. John Davies, glover, in the Portmote, 1752-4. 4ff, but only ½ of each page preserved.
c. Note re. bill of legal costs to be delivered to next Assembly. Possibly relates to b.
d. 1753-4. Rough draft of answer of Richard Ledsham and Richard Ollerhead, Sheriffs of Chester, to the King's Justices of the County of Chester concerning suit, Samuel Ley and Elizabeth his wife, plts, v. Oliver Mac-Allister, gent., deft., now depending in Sheriffs' Court of City, and attempt to remove it. Concerning the Charter of 1506 which made the City a county of itself. 2ff
