In 1892, Thomas Clulee sold the Thornleigh Fire Brick Works and Colliery to the newly formed Stourbridge Glazed Brick and Fire Clay Co. Ltd. In 1935, this Company sold its undertaking to S.G.B. (Dudley) Ltd. During the early 1960's, S.G.B. (Dudley) Ltd, in its turn became a subsidiary of Thornleigh Building Industries Ltd.
