Administrative / biographical background

The Constitution Lodge was established and named in 1770 and met at the Tom Langford, in the Turl, Turl Street, Oxford. In 1787 the lodge moved to the house of Brother Pridie, Oxford and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1789.
