Large roll, 30 ft long, 13 ft wide.
Family pedigree to pre-Conquest period, illuminated Arms at every stage, and extracts from evidences. At foot, family arms with all quarterings.
Compiled by Sir Thomas Shirley, the College of Arms.
Headed: "Shirleorum Warwicensis et Darbiensis Familiae quam antiquissimae genuina Prosapia a quodam Sewallo viro perillustri prospero as felici successu interrupta etiamnum serie continuata ... etc."
