1) Includes 4 sketches: 'Rydal-hall'; 2) 'Windermere Island House'; 3) 'Dove's nest'; 4) 'Low-wood Inn, Wright's'. Map shows coastline, hydrography, vegetation, roads, settlements, buildings, land marks and remarks. Latitude and longitude referred to in remarks. Scale: 2 inches to 1 mile. Printed. North point, orientation to west. By Peter Crosthwaite, Admiral at Keswick Regatta, March 1783; engraved by H Ashby; published 16 June 1783. Republished with additions in December 1788; sold by Peter Crosthwaite. Annotated with black ink: 'earlier edition same No [number] and folio)'.
