The first item consists of notes for HY/1/18 and the second item is drafts of the propositions in Henry Cavendish's paper "An attempt to explain Some of the Principle [sic] Phenomena of Electricity by Means of an Elastic Fluid" printed in "Philosophical Transactions", 31 December 1771 Vol. 61.
The file is enclosed in a covering page on which is written by William Snow Harris: "No [18 crossed out and replaced with 17, followed by "Incomplete Papers on Electry" crossed out] Notes with ["an account" crossed out and replaced with "a very"] short notice of a paper on natural philosophy by Dr [illegible]". There are further notes in pencil: "to Thoughts concerning Electricity Draft of Phil Trans Paper Fugure of the arrangement for com? capacities Lemma I".
