Award of Sir John Powell, Justice of the Court of Common Pleas, in differences between (i) Christopher Anderton of Cleyton, esq., Alexander Butler of Todderstaffe, gent., Dorothy his wife, and Anne Singleton, of Todderstaffe, spinster, and (ii) George Singleton, of Stayning Hall, esq. - Manor of Stayning and properties in Parva Carleton, Magna Carleton, Todderstaffe, Newton, Hardhorn, Whitham, Poulton, Northmosse, and Oldfield Carr, late of Thomas s. decd. brother of G.S., D.B., and A.S., - Todderstaffe Hall and other premises the jointure of Dorothy Singleton, widow; the manors of Stayning and Parva Carleton, Stayning Hall and demesne the jointure of Jane Cole widow of John Singleton esq., and wife of Thomas Winckley of Preston, Edmund Hornby of Poulton, and Christopher Gradwell of Ulneswalton, gents., upon specified trusts. Witn: Edm. Hornby, John Roberts, Philip Taylor, Lewis Price, John Thomas. 24 Sept. 1686.
