Description (What the record is about)
-
Hopes that RG is not merely dropping in on his way to Worthing, but will pay a proper visit, because it is surely more than time. Has written a sharp letter to her former butler, and may have him back as house parlourman. Discusses the 'Jewish business' and emigration to Palestine, and other foreign issues, such as Soviet Russia and Greece. Thinks that RG's idea of tracing CA's portraits is a good one. The new gloss on the Gort pictures will tone down. Is distressed to hear about Sybil's health. Dick [John Richard Bickersteth] is enraged with his sister-in-law [Evelyn Bickersteth] who is always pushing John, the young 'heir' down here for a day's shooting. Dick is convinced that the whole 'Ned trouble' [Edward Bickersteth] was caused by her.
