Criticism of Mr. Weston who has been employed to do the estimates etc. on the (Conington) estate by Heathcote, & assertion that Mr. Hinde would have been better, because he knows the country better. Mitchell's original estimate for the tenants' repairs etc. was £1,500 but now that Mr. Hoddell has made such promises to the tenants Mitchell estimates that the repairs will cost another £2,000.
