Original Bundle labelled 'Chillington Deeds prior to 1776', cont:

Deeds relating to Sheephouse Farm in Chillington, 1667, 1748/9-64(7), and to various properties in the manor or parish of Chillington, 1705-70(3); lease of tithes, etc., in Chillington, 1738; covenants concerning tithes [apparently in Allowenshay in Kingstone], 1756; and lease for 7 years of three closes in Kingstone, Chillington, and Dinnington, 1770. An original bundle containing deeds and cognate documents relating to a tenement and closes in Chillington, 1612-94(4), 1708-1807(26), including the Will of Thomazin Budge of Chillington, widow, 1803 (proved Taunton Archd. 1805; probate copy). (44 documents).

Episc. Ct. Wells, 1812; probate copy). Deputation to gamekeeper for the manor of Chillington, 1820. (18 documents).

Leases for years and lives for properties holden of the manor of Crewkerne, 1776-95(7), and of the Feoffees of the Free Grammar School of Crewkerne, 1783 (4; 2 relating to property in Haselbury Plucknett, one to the 'White Hart' or 'Gun' inn in Crewkerne, and one to Fords Malthouse in Crewkerne). Deeds relating to a messuage, etc., at Holethorne in Coombe (T) in Crewkerne, and property in Wayford, 1772-95(6), including the marriage articles of Rich. Coombe of Crewkerne, surgeon, and Ann Draper of North Down in Haselbury, 1772. Deeds relating to numerous tenements in Woolminstone, Hewish, and other places in Crewkerne, 1786-96(9), acquired by Wm. Gray of Crewkerne, gent., and assigned to John, Earl Poulett, 1796, including reference to a mansion house, 1786, and an abstract of title affecting also Hewish manor, and property in Broadwinsor (co. Dorset), circa 1796. Leases for small terms of the weekly market and annual fair of Crewkerne, 1787(2), Henley Farm etc., in Crewkerne and Misterton, 1790, and Coombe Farm in Crewkerne, 1790. Will of Richard Toby of Crewkerne, yeoman, 1788 (proved Taunton Archd. 1788; paper copy). Deeds relating to property at Woolminstone and in the South Common Field of Crewkerne, 1791, and closes called Eastovers at Woolminstone, 1792(3). Deeds relating to Hewish Mill in the tithing of Coombe in Crewkerne, 1793-95(3), apparently burned down in 1793 and newly erected in or before 1795, also affecting a messuage called the 'Three Horse Shoes' in South Perrott (co. Dorset), 1793. (38 documents).
