Aircraft at Bitteswell: Canberra WV.787 (AS.Sa.123/115). Canberra WD.930 (AS.Sa.408/407). Lancastrian VM.733 (AS.Sa.98/99). Hunter WN.889 (AS.Sa.7062). Blackburn WB.797 (DM.206) & Gannet WN.395 (DP.2034) Gannet VR.557 (DM.205). Wyvern WL.881 (ASP.214). Other aircraft. Sapphire development aircraft: Javelin WT.830 & Javelin WT.836. Victor WB.775 (AS.Sa.131/25/7/13). Vulcan VX.770 (AS.Sa.6006/7/8/9). Javelin WT.827 (AS.Sa.111/32). English Electric P.1 WG.760 (AS.Sa.556/553). Sapphire production aircraft: Hunter have experienced some instances of engine 'blow-out'. The first at over 40,000 feet. Double Mamba production aircraft: 3 Gannets have commenced intensive flying trials at Ford. Gannet WN.372 returned to Ford on the 25th after completing handling and performance trials at Khatoum. Python production aircraft: A fully instrumented Wyvern VZ.782 is being provided by Westland for catapult trials. Wyvern VW.884 has successfully completed its spinning trials from 20,000 feet. Mamba aircraft: Carrier trials of the Seamew were ultimately abandoned owing to a number of compressor failures on Mamba 6 engines. Seamew XA.209 (ASZ.3001). Seamew XA.213 (ASZ.602).
