Description

On inner flyleaf, "High-head Anno 1747-8. A coppy of the old Register Taken from that in the bible". Bound into volume to precede inner flyleaf, a larger sheet folded vertically, inscribed "Bought at Carlisle the 21st of October 1752, Price two Guineas, Belonging to Highhead Chaple. John Hodgson, Curate"; then follow eight entries (1758-60) of baptisms "To be entered into the Register belonging to the Chapel". The first of these is George, son of Bernard and Mary Barton of Ivegill

Small ledger format. "Rebound December 1889. T Phillips, MA Vicar"
