Description

Introduction

The ecclesiastical parish of Eridge Green was formed on 5 Febuary 1856 out of the parishes of Frant and Rotherfield. The church was originally built in 1853 as a school room. It was intended for use as a Sunday School and to be licensed for divine worship. In 1856 a chancel and transepts were added to the room and it was consecrated as the Church of the Holy Trinity, Eridge Green, on 16 July.
