Immediate source of acquisition (When and where the record was acquired from)

Most of the records were deposited by The Revd. Jeremy Younger, All Saints Vicarage, 68 Pembroke Road, Clifton, Bristol BS8 3ED, on the 12 March 1982, but the list also contains several items deposited prior to 1977, as well as material deposited per Miss E. Ralph, August 1986.
Two additional deposited were made in 1995 and 1996 by the Rev. Canon P.G. Cobb, of which the latter relates specifically to the foundation of the parish see P/ASC/ChW/8-51

Administrative / biographical background (Historical or biographical information about the creator of the record and the context of its creation)

The church was part consecrated on the 8 June 1868 and created a district Chapelry out of St.John, Clifton by Order in Council, 14 September 1868. More was consecrated in 1872, and on the 2 December 1940 the church was destroyed by enemy action. The parish was united with St.Mary, Tyndall's Park by Order in Council, 27 June 1962. The rebuilt church was consecrated on the 1 July 1967.
