10 horse power double-acting crank engine, with 17 2/3 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion.Reverse general view of the engine, reverse plans and sections of the engine and boiler showing winding barrel; reverse plan and sections of the engine house, framing, boiler and cistern. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 303. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 100.
For the proprietors of Kenton Colliery, Northumberland - Liddle & Reaveley. Winding engine. The engine later also worked a pump in a temporary pit - see Portfolio 5/586 for a section of the mine showing the position of this engine.
